X axis trouble

About to go to bed, hopefully there will be an answer for me in the morning. The X axis won't home. I can move it positive, to the right, but it won't go back the other way, The communications window says: endstops hit: X:9.99 Which is impossible since the carriage is in the middle of the track. I was gonna try a print tonight, but looks like it'll have to wait until this gets fixed. Need to know where to get started on trouble shooting this.
