Lowering build platform without computer

It would really be a big help if the build plate could be raised or lowered using manual controls on the printer itself rather than having to connect to Simplify3D everytime. In order to change the filament, you have to connect to the computer and then do it that way. Is there a way it could be incorporated into future firmwares?

Not sure if this helpful but......
If you have an old Android phone or tablet you should be able to control it with a program called Gcode Simulator:

The free version will let you check if it works for you.

Seemed to work for me on my Creatr Dual. I was able jog the pirnter through a tablet.

The paid version is supposed to let you print using it also (over WiFi). I didn't try that.

In order to use it you will need a USB To Go cable to connect the device. If you buy one, make sure to get a cable that also has a charge connector. (If your device uses the USB for charging, you don't want to depend on the battery.)
